Enchanted Rock

Lindsey, Alyssa, and i went to Enchanted Rock in Fredricksburg, TX on Sunday, Jan 30th. Here are some of the pics I took. By the way, this place was waaaaayyy more dangerous that any of us expected. Those straight-drops were crazy.

More San Antonio 2 Pics

I haven't posted anything in a while and what I have posted was done on some down time during work. I decided to post some more pics of our trip to San Antonio in January, so here I go:

This is our tour guide for the ghost hunt we took. His pictures actually turned out pretty scary except for this one - his face in ALL of the others was blurred beyond human recognition - creepy.
This is the back part of a cathedral we visited on the ghost hunt. The story goes that there are ashes buried in this wall of people who died in the Battle of the Alamo and that the original plaster started to show faces coming through it. Lindsey said that she did this tour a couple of years ago when the orignial plaster was still on and that you could see every detail of each face. The put on a new coat of plaster and now some faces are once again starting to show through. I can see three faces in this, one on each side and then one huge one in the middle that looks like the face of s very sad man...

This is a small part of the lobby of the Menger Hotel. It was beautiful inside!

Another small part of the hotel hallways. It was nighttime when I took this so all the lights are on.

This is the first picture I took when we got to our hotel rooms. Some weird light thingie is cutting off parts of everyone... but it's probably just my camera...

Betty smokin' it up in the Mexican Marketplace with El Jefe!

We stopped in the gazebo after we did the ghost tour and everyone gathered in for a picture! :)

We had a crazy-wonderful dinner at the Magic Time Machine. Super Mario was our waiter and he was fantastic! Itssame Mariooo! By the way, he loved Lindsey's mustahce necklace!

We had a wonderful time! I can't wait to see what happen in Jefferson, Texas!!! :) I'll keep ya'll posted!

San Antonio

So myself, Betty, Tyran, Lindsey, Meagan, and Emilee (also James, but he lives there) went to San Antonio on Jan 17-18 and we had a blast!

Our main reason for going was ghost hunting. We stayed in the Menger Hotel (which is haunted by 38 known ghosts) and we did the Alamo City Ghost Tour (which was awesome)! Betty, Tyran, and I stayed in room 2012 (scary, I know) while Emilee, Meagan, and Lindsey stayed in room 2014. We had an amazing time - we messed around the haunted hotel, we went to the River Walk and the Mexican Market, we rode the trolley, went on a ghost tour of S.A., and a whole bunch of other stuff. I got great (and creepy) pictures and I got some hilarious videos on my new Flip.

Here is the link to the funny video of Meagan, Lindsey, and James riding one of those mechanical bulls in the marketplace. The funny thing about this was that the bull was made for children but the guy let them ride it anyways!

And here is a scary picture of a ghost in one of the haunted buildings we visited. It was actually my mother who spotted the ghost and as I reviewed the rest of my photos, I saw that there was nothing in any other pictures - nor were there any reasonable explanations for it. We see a female figure in an old dress with a white apron walking in this picture. I circled the area in the picture. Zoom in and tell me what you see!

Creepy..... I'm glad I saw this after we left instead of before. We also had some crazy experiences in the hotel. Emilee, Tyran, Lindsey and Meagan we walking through the lobby of the hotel when they heard a woman's scream that sounded like it came from the lobby (which had no one else but them). They actually thought it had been Tyran but it wasn't.

Betty and I had similar experiences in our room but it wasn't until the next morning when we were sharing stories that we knew about it. Betty said all night she heard different voices and the sounds of people running up and down the halls (but the hotel didn't have very many guests). She also told me that she heard a little girl's laugh in the bathroom when she got up in the middle of the night to pee - which is really freaky because the next morning while I was showering I heard a little girl's laugh. When I got out of the shower is when Betty told me about the voices, the running, and the little girl... We were totally spooked. And Tyran didn't hear anything because she sleeps like the dead (heh).

All in all, it was a wonderful trip and we are planning another one around May to Jefferson, Texas - supposedly one of the most haunted small towns in Texas. Then we are going to go to Galveston (which is really haunted because of all the death and trauma from the Great Hurricane and the fires). I can't wait to see what kind of stuff I will catch with my camera. :)

Flip Camcorder

I got the Flip Camcorder for Christmas (from myself, lol) so I have tons of video's to upload. Lots of funny moments.

And Betty, Tyran, Emilee, Meagan, Lindsey, and I are planning a Ghost Hunting Trip to San Antonio. We are staying in the Menger Inn (which has 38 known ghosts) and we are also doing some of the night ghost tours around SA. We're going for Sunday and Monday, Jan 17-18 and it's going to be a blast. I'm bringing my new camera and my flip so I can catch all the action - whether its from the living or the dead, lol.

We probably won't find anything but we'll definitely have lots of fun in the process! :P

Tussaud's Wax Museum Pics

Tussaud's Wax Museum was located to the left of Ripley's and though it wasn't as good as Ripley's, we did have fun molesting the wax figures.
Here are the pics:

Tyran and Ria molesting Johnny Depp. Well, guess we know who likes to kiss with their eyes closed and who does it with their eyes open... heh.

Oprah comforts Tyran...

Dr. Phil helps out Betty...

And Ria becomes the 8th Dwarf - NotSoBrighty (lmao)

Even though some of the wax figures were horrifying, we had a blast. Next trip is the Natural Bridge Caverns (or something like that) in San Antonio. Then I'd like to hike at Enchanted Rock and camp at Big Bend and gamble at Shreveport... oh yeah, I've got the travel bug! :)

Austin and San Antonio!

Well, its been a heck of a month! I've been on 2 big trips this month - the first was to Inner Space Caverns and the Outlet Mall in Austin, and the second was to San Antonio, where we saw the Alamo, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Louis Tussaud's Plaza Wax Museum, and the Mexican Market Square!

Here are pics of Inner Space Caverns. I went with Ria, Betty, Jeanine, Nikki, and Nathan. We stopped for breakfast at IHOP and then on we went to the caverns.

Here is a pic of all of us together (except me cause I'm taking the picture, lol). From left to right: Ria, Jeanine, Nikki, Nathan, and Betty.

Here is a picture of a part of the caverns (my camera sucks in low-light, so this was the best one out of all 300... yes, 300)

All throughout the tour, they compared everything to food - the bats were called hairy flying chicken nuggets, there were old shrimp homes, cave bacon (below), ice cream, and so much more!

These are some of the pics from Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum.

The history books lied - it was actually Ria who sank the Titanic. Oooooohhhhh, no I didn't! :P

This guy could swallow his own nose - ewwww... He and Ria got along quite well, lol.

This crocodile was just hanging from the roof so I took a pic from the 2nd floor. When we finally made it to the 3rd floor, I read that this croc was about 15ft long and he ate children and dogs.

I will post the pics from Tussaud's Wax Museum on the next post, so look forward to that.

We had a wonderful time at each place! Man, after such a busy few weeks, who wouldn't appreciate the return to their daily pace?! :)

Cameron Park Zoo + Hot Sun = Funny Pictures!

I was going through my camera and found some funny pics of my family. We love to play with statues and anything else that we can climb on and pose with.

These pictures were taken at the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco on a hot summer day. Maybe the heat had driven us a little crazy but as soon as we saw the gignatic snake in the playground, it was on!

Gulf of Mexico and Texas State Aquarium

So many posts today, I know, but this will be one of the last ones. I promise :)

Here are some of the pictures I took when Betty and I went down to Austwell, TX asnd to the Gulf of Mexico. We saw a bloated jellyfish just a few feet in front of us when we were walking around the gulf coast - it was cool!

We went to the Texas State Aquarium and this is what we saw:

This is the view from the outside sections of the aquarium - that in the distance is the Gulf of Mexico. I went as far as the eye could see. It was breathtaking!

Next is the dolphin area. There was an outside top view and an inside bottom view. The bottom view pictures I have are spectacular, if I do say so myself. They were one of the neatest creatures I've seen up close. And man, were they big!

The top view of one of the dolphins.

The bottom view of them. This one was one of my best. I liked the fact that it looked like the little girl was ready to catch the dolphin. :)

This one was of a mother and daughter. She had the cutest little laugh!

Family vacation...

And this little guy was so cute... :D

The end.
